Scaling behavior of φ4 theory and dimensional regularization

Abstract

The new method for the renormalization group invented by 't Hooft is applied to φ4 theory. It is verified by explicit calculation of two-loop diagrams that the method avoids the infrared problems which give trouble for Weinberg's new method in field theories with scalar fields.
