Abstract

The t+He3 cluster structures in Li6 were investigated by using the Li7(He3,α) reaction at 450MeV and at θL=0°. A binary decay into t+He3 with a branching ratio of 0.8±0.2 from a broad state at Ex=21MeV in Li6 was observed by measuring t and He3 decay particles. From the measured angular correlations and with the analysis of the spectral shape by using the Breit-Wigner formula, the 21MeV resonance was decomposed into the P1 (T=0) state at Ex=18.0±0.5MeV with Γ(FWHM)=5.0±0.5MeV (where FWHM means full width at half maximum), and the P3 (T=1) state at Ex=22±1MeV with Γ=8±1MeV.
