Abstract
The quasielastic scattering of on a target has been measured at an incident energy of 540 MeV. The new experimental data are used to extract an effective interaction for + scattering. The uncertainty in this interaction was previously a major obstacle to extracting information on the structure of from existing +C quasielastic-scattering data. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
