Possibilities for superconductivity in two-dimensional GaAs bilayers

Abstract

We show that Coulomb coupled bilayers of the type which can be fabricated in GaAs systems can have a ‘‘conventional’’ BCS superconducting instability at reasonable temperatures, i.e., 0.1 K<Tc≲1 K.
