Scalar Fields Coupled to the Trace of the Energy-Momentum Tensor

Abstract

The coupling of a scalar-meson field to the trace of the energy-momentum tensor is formulated in terms of a nonpolynomial interaction Lagrangian. Quantization and applications are discussed.
