Abstract
The paper presents a study of the state of sod-podzolic soils to assess the degree and direction of anthropogenic transformation of agricultural lands located in an urbanized territory. The analysis of the content of heavy metals and arsenic in the soil, depending on the distance from the source of pollution. Significant soil contamination with cadmium and copper was revealed at a distance of 10 meters from the road. The expediency of using the selected criteria for identifying the source of anthropogenic impact and land monitoring is noted.
