Abstract
The important task of efficiency improvement of oil reserves management is to obtain reliable and sufficient information based on well testing data. The paper studies the issue of converting binary convolutional codes to non-binary narrowed cyclic codes. The authors believe that the introduction of special coding makes it possible to significantly increase the noise resistance of downhole telemetry system due to the ability of the code to detect, localize and correct errors that occur during digital processing of downhole information. The developed mathematical model of the formation of a convolutional code is the basis for study the correcting capabilities of a computing system during digital signal processing.
