The thermal conductivity of 46 rock samples and the temperature at a number of points along the lengths of three boreholes were measured. The heat flow from the earth is derived from these and other measurements of temperature and conductivity. Values of the heat flow lie in the region (1.1 ± 0.3) × 10-6 cal cm-2 sec-1.
