Abstract
The degree of polarization obtained when approximately 130 MeV protons are scattered from Be, C, Al, Fe, Ag, Cd, Bi and U has been studied as a function of the laboratory scattering angle from 10° to 45°. Irregularities in the patterns so obtained may be associated with the diffraction patterns of the elements concerned. The degree of polarization from Be and C has been found to fall rapidly as the proton energy is reduced below 130 MeV.
