Abstract

It is shown that recent high-field magnetisation data of YCo2 and LuCo2 by Schinkel (1978), which he calls anomalous because neither band theory nor spin fluctuation theory accounts for them, can be explained by the Fermi liquid model of magnetism through the logarithmic field dependence of the magnetisation.
