Abstract

Hyperfine fields in very dilute alloys of Fe in Ni3Al and Ni3Ga have been measured by the Mossbauer effect. The effective moments, determined by Brillouin fits, were studied as a function of the host composition. The maximum values observed were 39 mu B for Ni3Al and 84 mu B for Ni3Ga which are the highest reported for both systems.
