Abstract
The scattering of neutrons from mictomagnetic CuMn alloys containing between 10 and 20 at.% Mn has been examined using both unpolarised and polarised neutrons. Apart from the extensive atomic and magnetic short-range order producing a diffuse peak at the 11/20 position, longer range magnetic correlations cause large increases in the magnetic scattering at small angles. There is considerable difficulty in fitting the scattering intensity including both the short and longer range effects.
