Vordere ischämische Optikusneuropathie und anämische Retinopathie

Wir berichten über einen Fall von vorderer ischämischer optischer Neuropathie des OS assoziert mit einer zweiseitigen anämischen Retinopathie. Dieses Krankheitsbild entwickelte sich auf Grund einer extremen und andauernden postoperativen Anämie, da der 59jährige Patient jegliche Bluttransfusion verweigerte. Nach einer einjährigen Betreuung hatte der Patient wieder einen sozusagen vollen Visus OS. Eine solche Assoziation ist extrem selten und nur vereinzelte Fälle sind in der Literatur beschrieben.

Summary

We report on the case of a 59-year-old man with the association of an anterior ischemic optic neuropathy on the left eye and a bilateral anemic retinopathy following an extreme and prolonged post-operative anemia, because the patient had refused blood-transfusion. After one year of follow-up, the visual acuity did improve on the left eye. This association is rare, and only few cases have been reported.
