Mechanisms which control crucial elements of the endocrine system in different kind of organisms must highly fulfil flexibility and stability. From an evolutionary point of view the principle behind this regulation has to be a very simple mechanism and to be valid in various control systems. A promising approach might be the regulation via high and low affine receptors which can be found in many different endocrine processes. Our new mathematical model provides all mentioned properties of flexibility and stability. Furthermore this model enables one to analyse physiological relevant parameters for different kind of individuals. We successfully applied the formulated model to real-life data obtained from clinical experiments examining the LHPA system.
