On p. 30 (left column, sub-heading “Kava preparation”) in the above-mentioned article one sentence is incorrect. The correct sentence is: Kava fractions were isolated from the ethanolic kava extract by following our published procedures [14]. Kavain, methysticin, dihydromethysticin and desmethoxyyangonin were synthesized following our published procedures [22]. Yangonin and dihydrokavain were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology.
