Answer to: Image 1: Lymphangiomatosis or Generalized Lymphatic Anomaly
Biopsies showed lymphatic tissue, and ascitic fluid was consistent with chyle. This information, combined with imaging findings, negative infectious workup, negative celiac disease evaluation, and lymphatic abnormalities in the right arm led to a diagnosis of lymphagniomatosis or the contemporary name of generalized lymphatic anomaly (GLA). Lymphangiectasias are often seen during endoscopy and often do not cause symptoms. There are congenital and acquired causes of lymphangiectasis. Congenital
