Carbon compounds of the transition metals. Part XVI. The crystal and molecular structure of [diethylamino(methyl)carbene]pentacarbonylchromium

Abstract

The solid-state structure of diethylamino(methyl)carbenepentacarbonylchromium is compared with those of other transition-metal carbene complexes. The crystals are triclinic, with a= 11·31 ± 0·02, b= 9·06 ± 0·02, c= 7·46 ± 0·01 Å, α= 71° 5′± 15′, β= 80° 30′± 10′, γ= 68° 59′± 10′. The space-group is P[1 with combining macron].
