Synthesis, luminescence enhancement, and self-assembly behaviours of platinum(ii)-containing ABC triblock metallopolymers

Abstract

Here we design and synthesize a series of ABC triblock metallopolymers that contain octadecyl and PEG chains and 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-2′-yl)pyridine platinum(II) complexes, sequentially. These metallopolymers can self-assemble into micellelike aggregates in low polarity solvents, and the resulting dispersions show remarkable luminescence enhancement.
