Fabrication and catalytic properties of three-dimensional ordered zeolite arrays with interconnected micro-meso-macroporous structure

Abstract

Unique hierarchically organized MFI zeolite nanorod arrays (NRAs) were synthesized using porous anodic alumina membranes (AAO) as a rigid scaffold. A highly interconnected micro-meso-macroporous structure, constructed from MFI zeolite crystals with uniform size was obtained. The resultant MFI NRAs possess a uniform, three-dimensionally ordered structure, good crystallinity, and excellent structural stability. The lifetime of this zeolitic architecture for the methanol to aromatics (MTA) process is more than 6 times longer than that of MFI zeolite nanoparticles.
