Ytterbium-substituted transferrin and lactoferrin for near-infrared luminescent pH indication

Abstract

The Yb3+-substituted transferrin and lactoferrin exhibited pH-dependent near-infrared emissions, and worked as luminescent pH indicators under neutral and weakly basic conditions.
