Remarkable structural diversity and single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformations in sulfone functionalized lanthanide MOFs

Abstract

We report the formation of novel open framework lanthanide (La, Ce, Pr and Dy) MOFs using the ligand 4,4′-bibenzoic acid-2,2′-sulfone. In the case of Ce and Pr, an unprecedented single-crystal-to-single-crystal transformation at room temperature was discovered.
