Hydroxyethylmethacrylate as a source of ethyleneglycolate ligands. Synthesis and characterization of Nb4(µ,η12-OC2H4O)2312-OC2H4O)2(µ-OC2H4O)(OPri)10

Abstract

The reaction between niobium isopropoxide and 2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate (HEMA) at room temperature (1∶1 stoichiometry) afforded [Nb4(µ,η12-OC2H4O)2312-OC2H4O)2(µ-OC2H4O)(OPri)10] as characterized by X-ray diffraction.
