29Si Spin–lattice relaxation in aluminosilicates

Abstract

29 Si N.m.r. spin–lattice relaxation times have been measured in some layer aluminosilicates and found to vary over three orders of magnitude, demonstrating that, in contrast to results reported to date, 29Si T1's may be extremely long in aluminosilicates.
