Difluorophosphate complexes of chromium, manganese, iron, cobalt, and nickel

Abstract

The compounds M(O2PF2)2·HPO2F2(M = Mn, Fe, Co, or Ni), Cr(O2PF2)3·HPO2F2, and two new forms of Fe(O2PF2)3 have been prepared and characterised by elemental analysis, i.r. spectroscopy, magnetic measurements [M(O2PF2)2·HPO2F2], and Móssbauer spectroscopy (iron compounds). All the compounds appear to be polymeric with bidentate bridging difluorophosphate groups and the metal atoms in octahedral environments.
