In this article, the first sentence after the ‘Subjects’ subheading in the MATERIALS AND METHODS section (top of the right column on page 2) should be replaced by ‘Subjects were Tg(HuAPP695, K670N-M671L)2576 (Tg2576) mice (Hsiao et al, 1996), carrying a double mutation that was found in a large Swedish family with early-onset AD, as well as their littermate controls. These mice were originally obtained from Taconic Farms, USA (model 1349), and bred in our laboratory.’
