Abstract
Using a novel test method based on initial rates, periodate, dithionate, selenite, phosphite, hypophosphite, and arsenate ions were confirmed to form transient multinuclear iron(III) complexes directly with the iron(III) hydroxo dimer Fe2 (OH)2 (H2 O)8
