Abstract

Phyllometry (measurement of parameters in leaves) was studied in 13 local vinifera grapevine cultivars from theampelographic collection in Vipava (Slovenia). The main purpose of the study was to find out which parameterswere stable in vines of the same cultivars. Altogether 71 parameters were measured and/ or calculated. Amongthem 25 parameters with the least difference among the same cultivars were identified and processed by theCluster Analysis. The dendrogram obtained presents vines of the same cultivars together. A correct groupingwithin cultivars confirms an accurate grouping between cultivars. Most of selected parameters are the sizes ofangles and rations between the basic parameters, as they are not influenced by the leaf size but the leaf shape. Suchmethod makes procedures easier and results more effective.
