2022, Computers and Industrial EngineeringCitation Excerpt :Opinion dynamics is a powerful tool to study the consensus formation. So far, a lot of methods have been proposed to research the evolution of opinion dynamics (Dittmer, 2001; Dong, Zhou, & Martinez, 2019; Dong, Chen, Liang, & Li, 2016; Dong et al., 2010b; Hegselmann & Krause, 2002). The most classic model is Hegselmann-Krause (HK) model proposed by Hegselmann and Krause (2002), where DMs only communicate when their ideas are sufficiently similar, and they update their ideas by averaging all of their neighbors’ opinions.
