2021, Clinics in DermatologyCitation Excerpt :Now, major companies are using new AI techniques for the development of technologies, including Amazon's Alexa (Seattle, WA), Tesla's self-driving cars (Palo Alto, CA), and Google translate (Mountain View, CA). In dermatology, one of the earliest mentions of AI was in 1987, when the use of a microcomputer systems for the development of dermatopathologic diagnoses was developed.12 Soon after, computer technology was developed to assist dermatologists with literature searches, diagnostics, and prognosis.13
