CASE PRESENTATION
A 24-year-old man presented with a 2-week history of 10-15 loose, bloody bowel actions per day and associated abdominal discomfort. He did not have any vomiting, fevers, sick contacts or recent travel.
Two months earlier, he was hospitalized for similar symptoms and was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. At that time, he was treated with intravenous corticosteroids and 1 dose of infliximab. He was discharged on weaning prednisolone, azathioprine and mesalazine, and was in clinical remission
