Pomegranate flower extract bidirectionally regulates the proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis of 3T3-L1 cells through regulation of PPARγ expression mediated by PI3K-AKT signaling pathway
2020, Biomedicine and PharmacotherapyCitation Excerpt :The chemical constituents of PF include polyphenols, flavonoids, triterpenes, saponins, etc. The main active ingredients include gallic acid, ellagic acid, corilagin, ursolic acid, anthocyanin, oleanolic acid, tricin, daucosterol, etc., which have good pharmacological effects on anti-diabetes, anti-oxidation, Hypolipidemic, and anti-inflammation [11–13]. In our previous studies found that pomegranate flowers n-butyl alcohol and parts of the water extract can significantly reduce the high fat diet combination chain of urea with induced type 2 diabetic rats blood glucose, improve the insulin resistance, and the extraction parts can also improve the insulin resistance of 3T3-L1 glucose intake adipocytes in different degrees, improve the p-Akt, PI3K, Glut4 protein expression and the expression of PPARγ protein was enhanced by water extracts, showed the PF to insulin resistance with good effect.
The effect of Punica granatum L. flower extract on post-surgical peritoneal adhesions in a rat model
2020, European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive BiologyCitation Excerpt :The first group as the control group (CG) received 2 ml/day drinking water by gavage. The second group (EG-100), third group (EG-200), and fourth group (EG-400) received 100 mg/kg/day, 200 mg/kg/day, and 400 mg/kg/day of extract dissolved in 2 ml of drinking water by gavage, respectively [16,17]. The extracts were administered eight days in a row from three days before surgery to four days after the first surgery.
Engineering electroactive and biocompatible tetra(aniline)-based terpolymers with tunable intrinsic antioxidant properties in vivo
2020, Materials Science and Engineering CCitation Excerpt :This condition mainly occurs due to increased flux of free fatty acid and impaired function of very low-density lipoproteins in circulation [81,82]. In the present study the observed elevated TBARS, triglyceride and cholesterol levels in diabetic rats are consistent with the previous findings [83–86]. Heart tissues stained with Haematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) as seen Fig. 13a show an intact, prominent and centrally located nuclei and normal cell size in control tissues.
