Four new compounds with cytotoxic and neuroprotective activity from Notopterygium incisum
2022, Phytochemistry LettersCitation Excerpt :The 1H NMR spectrum revealed a trisubstituted aromatic protons at δH 7.72 (s, 1H, H-2), 6.76 (d, 1H, J = 8.2 Hz, H-5) and 7.08 (d, 1H, J = 8.2 Hz, H-6), a set of olefinic protons at δH 6.85 (d, 1H, J = 12.8 Hz, H-7) and 5.78 (d, 1H, J =12.8 Hz, H-8), two methyl groups at δH 0.92 (t, 3 H, J = 7.4 Hz, H-13) and 0.94 (d, 3 H, J =3.9 Hz, H-14), two methylene groups at δH 3.79 (m, 2 H, H-10) and 1.32 (m, 2 H, H-12), a methine at δH 1.70 (m, 1H, H-11) and a methoxy group at δH 3.86 (s, 3 H, H-15). The comparison of its 1H NMR data with those of 2-methylbutyl ferulate (11) (Greenaway et al., 1988) indicated that the structure of 10 possesses a pair of cis-olefinic proton signals (H-7 and H-8). Finally, compound 10 was determined to be 2-methyl-butyl cis-ferulate.
