Abstract

Isotype shifts and hyperfine structure measurements for five transitions in natural dysprosium have been performed using a CW tunable dye laser and a collimated atomic beam. The consistency of experimental isotope shifts is tested and values of the change in rms radius of the nuclear charge distribution are calculated.

IS, the change in nuclear charge radii, δ<r2> and hfs A and B constants in 5 lines were measured using CW tunable dye laser and a collimated atomic beam technique [23]. SMS and FS factors have been evaluated using IS data observed in 31 spectral lines of Dy I by means of CW dye lasers with a collimated atomic beam [24]. J dependence of optical isotope shifts have been studied using high-resolution-atomic-beam measurements for the ground term 4f106s2, 5I8 of Dy I [25].
