Poles of the S-matrix for a complex potential

Abstract

The poles of the S-function in the momentum K-plane for S-wave scattering in a complex well potential are calculated. The change caused by the complex character of the potential in the singularity structure of the S-matrix is described in detail. The analytical properties, symmetry relations, unitarity and causality requirements are discussed.
