Abstract

A class of exact solutions of the coupled Einstein-Yang-Mills system is constructed for a Robertson-Walker geometry. In flat space the gauge fields which we consider interpolate continuously between the two-meron and the one-instanton fields. In curved space, our solutions are periodic with period and amplitude determined by the interpolating parameter.
