The U.S. Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry has ranked it in the top three priority pollutants that have a great impact on human health [9–11]. Recent studies have revealed that mercury could cause reproductive damage to mammals, birds, fish, and invertebrates [12–17], but studies on infertility in women have not been conducted thus far.
