Thermodynamic stability of diatomic dications of the families of alkaline earth oxides and hydrides: The cases of BaO2+ and BaH2+
2019, Chemical PhysicsCitation Excerpt :As a final step, the diagonal elements of the Hel + HSO matrix were replaced by the corresponding MRCI values, accounting in this way for dynamic correlation in the Ω molecular states. Experimental evidence for the existence of BaO2+ [23–26] was briefly mentioned in the introductory section of this paper. Additionally, before discussing the major contributions of this theoretical investigation, we first present in Fig. 1 the results of a more recent experimental detection and identification of BaO2+.
