2021, Journal of Materials Science and TechnologyCitation Excerpt :The structures are sufficiently relaxed to meet stable states. Table 2 presents the calculated lattice parameters directly obtained from our output results together with the experimental values in literatures for the Al-Si-Y [25–30] and Ni-Si-Y [55,71–82] systems. The deviations between the calculated lattice parameters (value a) and the reported values are less than 3.4 % for both the Al-Si-Y and Ni-Si-Y systems.
Anomalous thermal expansion in intermediate valence compound Ce<inf>2</inf>Ni<inf>3</inf>Si<inf>5</inf>
2020, Physica B: Condensed MatterCitation Excerpt :As can be seen the lattice parameters steadily increase in all three main crystallographic directions. The unit-cell parameters obtained at room temperature a = 9.648 Å, b = 11.428 Å and c = 5.769 Å are in a good agreement with that reported in the literature earlier [14]. The linear coefficients of thermal expansion along 3 main axes obtained by differentiation of the experimental data are plotted in Fig. 2.
The Ce-Ni-Si system as a representative of the rare earth-Ni-Si family: Isothermal section and new rare-earth nickel silicides
2016, Journal of Solid State ChemistryCitation Excerpt :Later, Ce2Ni15Si2 compound has been found to have Th2Zn17-type structure [37] and ~Ce10Ni3Si7 has been found to have Y3NiSi3-type structure [38]. Also Ce14Ni8Si9-type Ce14Ni8Si9 [11–13], YNi4Si-type CeNi4Si [18,19], tetragonal derivative of NaZn13-type structure, the CeNi6Si6 [20], U2Co3Si5-type Ce2Ni3Si5 [39] and TbCu7-type CeNi5Si [40] compounds were detected in Ce-Ni-Si system. These data allow careful re-investigation of Ce-Ni-Si system with using of Ce-Ni, Ce-Si and Ni-Si binary systems that have been studied in detail and published in several works [11–13,41].
