Meanwhile, it is possible that CH could intercept the peroxyl radicals during lipid peroxidation (Girao et al., 1999; Smith, 1991). Crustaceans exert immune defence mechanisms mainly depend on innate immune systems, and the main antioxidant defence enzymes (SOD, CAT, GSH-Px) act an important role in humoral immunity system (Borković et al., 2008; Karunasagar et al., 2014).
