Abstract

The number of adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D) continues to rise; obesity and low levels of physical activity are contributing factors. As 25 % of the US population over 65 has diabetes, it is important to identify and test interventions to improve health behaviors and disease outcomes in this age group. This PubMed review was conducted to identify recent articles regarding nutrition and physical activity interventions targeted for adults aged 65 and older who have T2D.
