  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new triterpenoid, 2α-benzoyl-19α-hydroxy-3α,23-O-isopropylidenyl-urs-12-en-28-oic acid (1), together with 15 known compounds were isolated from the aerial parts of Rhododendron hainanense. The structure of 1 was elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including extensive 1D and 2D NMR experiments.
