In the original publication of the article, in Tables 1, 3, bold style was missing in some significant values. In addition, description of Tables 1 and 3 were published incorrectly. The correct Tables 1, 3 and descriptions are provided in this article.

Table 1 Spearman’s correlation among the SIRT1, SIRT6, and SIRT7 levels
Table 3 Association between clinicopathological features and immunoreactivity for SIRT1, 6, and 7 in OSCC (n = 77)

Further, in the “Results” section, under the subheading “Correlation between clinicopathological features and immunoreactivity for SIRTs”, the statement regarding SIRT7 expression levels was published incorrectly as “SIRT7 expression levels were significantly higher in women than in men (p = 0.04)”. The correct statement should read as follows “SIRT7 expression levels were significantly higher in men than in women (p = 0.04)”.

Finally, In the “Discussion” section, in paragraph 4, there is an error in the statement regarding SIRT7 expression and gender. The correct statement should read as follows “SIRT7 expression was higher in men than in women, indicating the possibility that gender plays a role in OSCC prevalence.”.

The original article was updated.
