Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the Riemann solutions of the non-isentropic Euler equations for the modified Chaplygin gas and the pure Chaplygin gas, which are the set of all rarefaction waves, shock waves, contact discontinuity and δ-shock waves. Under some appropriate conditions, by studing the limiting behavior, we find that the Riemann solutions of modified Chaplygin gas is the same as pure Chaplygin gas including the (δ-shock waves.
