Abstract

For studying particle trajectories in saltation, a measurement method has been developed. Results have been obtained by recording particles in motion at 25 images per second and by analysing images using processing software which enables complete trajectories to be reconstructed. Some average trajectory characteristics have been deduced and compared with those found in the literature.
