Softokulopression

Zusammenfassung

Hintergrund

Die sog. Okulopression dient der Reduktion von Intraokulardruck bei intraokularen Eingriffen. Es wurde im Rahmen ambulanter Kataraktchirurgie eine schonende und für den Patienten angenehme Alternative erprobt, die eine einfache und sichere Anwendung mit guten Ergebnissen der Drucksenkung verbindet.

Patienten und Methode

Bei 100 Patienten wurde ein handelsüblicher Schutzhandschuh mit 350 ml vorgewärmtem Leitungswasser gefüllt und nach Injektion 10 min auf dem zu operierenden Auge platziert.

Ergebnisse

Es ließ sich eine ausgezeichnete und außerdem selbstkalibrierende drucksenkende Wirkung (Durchschnitts-IOD vor Injektion 18,94 mmHg, nach Injektion 31,34 mmHg und nach Softokulopression 20,31 mmHg) nachweisen.

Schlussfolgerungen

Die von uns erprobte Softokulopression empfiehlt sich wegen ihrer ausgezeichneten selbstkalibrierenden drucksenkenden Wirkung bei angenehmer und einfacher Durchführbarkeit.

Abstract

Background

The method of so-called oculopression is used to reduce the intraocular tension before intraocular operations. For outpatient cataract operations we tested a gentle and, especially for the patient, pleasant alternative which combines an easy and safe treatment with good results for tension reduction.

Patients and method

For a total of 100 patients a routine examination glove was filled with 350 ml of warm tap water and after injection placed for 10 min on the eye scheduled for surgery.

Results

With this method, an excellent and self-calibrating reduction of the intraocular pressure could be shown (average intraocular pressure before injection: 18.94 mmHg, after injection: 31.34 mmHg and after soft oculopression: 20.31 mmHg).

Conclusion

The method of soft oculopression can be recommended because of its excellent self-calibrating tension reducing effect combined with a pleasant and easy application.
