Zusammenfassung
Nach der Erstbeschreibung im Jahre 2000 von Botulinumtoxin zur Behandlung der neurogenen Detrusorhyperaktivität wurde dieses im weiteren Verlauf auch bei der nicht-neurogenen überaktiven Blase eingesetzt. In aktuellen Leitlinien wird Onabotulinumtoxin A (Botox) bei therapierefraktären Patienten mit einem Empfehlungsgrad A empfohlen. Die hier vorgelegte praxisorientierte Empfehlung berücksichtigt die neueren Erkenntnisse und die jahrelange Erfahrung der Mitglieder des Arbeitskreises „Urologische Funktionsdiagnostik und Urologie der Frau“ der Akademie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Urologie im Bereich Diagnostik und Therapie der nicht-neurogenen überaktiven Blase mit Onabotulinumtoxin A.
Abstract
The use of botulinum toxin for the treatment of neurogenic detrusor overactivity was first described in 2000 and thereafter botulinum toxin has also been used in non-neurogenic overactive bladder. In current guidelines intravesical injection of onabotulinumtoxin A in refractory patients is recommended. Our aim is to provide some clinically relevant recommendations from the Working Group Urologische Funktionsdiagnostik und Urologie der Frau for diagnostics and treatment with onabotulinumtoxin A of patients with non-neurogenic overactive bladder.
