Zusammenfassung

Dieser Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die häufigsten Regulationsstörungen der frühen Kindheit. Exzessives Schreien, Schlaf- und Fütterstörungen sind prävalent und persistent und können zu ungünstigen Entwicklungsverläufen und Beeinträchtigungen des Familiensystems führen. Pädiater sollten frühkindliche Regulationsstörungen daher ernst nehmen. Angesichts des bei Weitem nicht flächendeckenden Versorgungsangebots mit Spezialambulanzen kommt den Pädiatern eine wichtige präventive Funktion durch eine entlastende Entwicklungsberatung der Eltern zu.

Abstract

This article reviews the literature on the most common regulatory disorders in infancy. Excessive crying, sleep, and feeding disorders are prevalent and persistent and may lead to unfavourable developmental processes and impairment of the family system. Pediatricians should take regulatory disorders in early childhood seriously. In the face of scarce early intervention services, pediatricians should provide preventive developmental counselling for parents.
