Summary
The in vivo distribution in mice of ferric citrate, ferric β-glycerophosphate and ferric lactate complexes has been studied. There is a relationship between the59Fe uptake by various tissues and the physicochemical characteristics of the complexes. Ferric lactate seems a useful preparation for iron deficiency therapy.
