X-ray absorption K-spectra of high dispersity nickel

Abstract

The X-ray absorption K-spectra of high-dispersity supported Ni were studied as a function of the particle size. The particle size distribution was determined from the dependence of magnetic susceptibility on the magnetic field. Increasing dispersion eliminates the overlap of s, p and d wave functions, characteristic for bulk transition metals, when the particle size decreases to 20 Å.

По рентгеновским К-спектрам поглощения исследованы некоторые изменения в электронной структуре высокодисперсного никеля на носителях в зависимости от размера гастиц. Распределение частиц по размерам находилось из измерений зависимости магнитной восприимчивости от напряженности поля. Диспергирование приводит к исчезновению перекрывания s p d волновых функций, характерного для массивного металла, когда размер частиц уменьшается до 20 Å.
