Conclusions

The new GPO-PAP method for the determination of triglycerides is a suitable test for routine laboratories, for manual testing as well as for automated systems. The main characteristics of this method are: 1. No sample blank measurement; 2. Excellent reproducibility; 3. Linearity range up to 8.0 mmol triglycerides/l; 4. Very good correlation to the enzymatic UV-method; 5. Applicability to mechanized systems.
